Launched with a gift from Drue Heinz in 1964, the series began with twenty-three limited edition prints issued to raise funds for the magazine. An additional eighteen prints and five posters followed over the next two decades. Featured artists include Christo, Willem de Kooning, Jim Dine, Helen Frankenthaler, Milton Glaser, David Hockney, Robert Indiana, Alex Katz, Ellsworth Kelly, Sol LeWitt, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Motherwell, Louise Nevelson, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Rauschenberg, Ben Shahn, Saul Steinberg, Tomi Ungerer, and Andy Warhol.
