Ephemeral nineteenth-century drawing book featuring illustrations of sixteen birds to copy and color, with instructions to the aspiring artist printed on the lower wrapper. Featured “gros oiseaux” include a flamingo, a heron, an owl, an ostrich, and a bird of paradise. A fresh, fine example, never used.
