United States: twentieth century. Hand-carved wooden alphabet, each letter measuring 2 inches tall. Seven letters painted red, seven painted yellow, six painted blue, and six painted green. Lightest signs of wear.
Complete hand-carved and painted wooden alphabet, quite likely a midcentury high school shop project. We cannot speak to the content of the paint, and would not offer these letters to a young child, but as tactile objects of typographic interest they are excellent. A solid addition to someone's desk, possibly your own.
